The mass and appearance of the building is intended to complement the context of existing 1920-30s architecture and utilises a palette of dual toned brickwork to create strong horizontal banding with a secondary vertical hierarchy of openings. Balconies are expressed through a series of staggered, angled and projecting elements which incorporate profiled metal balustrading with perforated panels to provide a blend of openness and privacy. The ground floor plinth affords a base for the building and raises the additional shared amenity space to provide a large landscaped courtyard.
