Colegrave Primary School is a three-form entry primary school in Stratford with a capacity of 630 pupils, with an additional resource for 14 pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD).
Rivington Street Studio’s extension provides improved teaching facilities for PMLD pupils, soft play, sensory and therapy rooms, as well as providing new replacement classrooms.
The massing of the new building comprises two offset square forms which offer internal and external advantages. The classroom block, closer to the existing school, is of a similar height; the taller elevation of the PMLD block offers a civic presence for the school.
