A newly built facility situated on a green field site in the eastern expansion area of Milton Keynes. RSS, with Morgan Sindall, have delivered a new extension plus internal remodelling and external landscaping to increase the capacity from 2FE to 3FE.
The ground floor incorporates a dedicated Early Years Centre consisting of a generous central ‘piazza’, surrounded by teaching and play ‘zones’. These are linked, via an extensive canopy area, to outdoor play spaces. On the first floor, four new classrooms have been created, along with a Learning Resource Area. Through careful massing and selection of materials, the extension fulfils the ambition to appear part of the school as a whole rather than a stand-alone addition.
